Does Huismus run on a server, such as a Raspberry Pi or a NAS? Then you can put it on your phone, tablet or laptop as an app. You don't need an app store for it. You get its own icon and a window without an address bar.
Installing Huismus as an app
Open Huismus in the browser and choose:
- iPhone and iPad: Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen.
- Android: Chrome → menu → Install app.
- Chrome or Edge on a computer: the install icon in the address bar, or menu → Install app.
- Mac: Safari → File → Add to Dock.
This only works when the address of Huismus starts with https://, or when
you open it on the computer it runs on (through localhost). Don't see the
option? Check the start of the address first.
Sharing a PDF
The PDF button on an invoice, credit note or quote opens a page with the PDF. At the top there's a button back to the document. In the app on your home screen there's Share: use it to mail the PDF or save it to Files. In the browser there's Download, and Share too if the browser can share files.
What's on your phone
Your records aren't on it. Everything stays on the server, and the app only shows what the server sends. If the app can't reach the server, for example because you have no wifi, your VPN is off or the server is off, a Huismus page tells you so, instead of a browser error.
