Opening it the first time
Huismus is a hobby project without a paid signature from Apple or Microsoft. That's why your computer asks the first time whether you trust the app. After that, it won't.
On a Mac
- Open the downloaded file and drag Huismus to Applications.
- Open Huismus. Your Mac says it can't check it: click Done.
- Go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway at the bottom.
On Windows
- Open the downloaded installer.
- Windows shows "Windows protected your PC": click More info.
- Click Run anyway.
Then
- Coming from Moneybird? Import all your records in one go.
- Starting fresh? Fill in your business details in four steps.
- Want to look around first? Choose Try with sample data: Huismus fills itself with made-up invoices, which one button takes out again.
- Choose a folder for your backups, for example in iCloud Drive or OneDrive.
